Shotgun used in bookies robbery

STAFF at a village bookmakers were threatened with what appeared to be a shotgun.

The armed robbery took place at William Hill on Elmton Road, Creswell, at about 7.45pm on Friday January 28.

The offender then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Det Sgt Rob Church, from Bolsover CID, said: “Staff working there at the time were distressed and shocked by the incident. It is imperative that this man is caught as soon as possible.”

The suspect was wearing a dark coloured Parker coat with a fur lined hood and was carrying a black holdall.
