SHIREBROOK: Rotarians look forward to string of events

President Roger Wright presided over the meeting of Warsop and Shirebrook Rotary Club at the Hostess Restaurant on Thursday when 21 members were present together with guest Geoff Milnes.

A discussion regarding the way forward for the future of the club was chaired by Junior Vice President John Welsh.

Future events include: band concert at the John Fretwell Centre on Friday, April 5, when The Band of RAF College Cranwell will

be performing, tickets from John Fretwell Centre and Claytons of Mansfield Tel 01623 666720; Sportsmen’s Evening, with comedian Terry Cotter and football referee Kevin Lynch who sent off David Beckham, on Friday, April 26, enquiries for tickets, at £30 each including meal, to 01623 847468; April 30 - Boccia Day at Kissingate Centre, Shirebrook, with pupils from Stubbinwood School; Friday, May 3 - members performing mock interviews with pupils at Meden Schoo; Tuesday, May 14 - Senior Citizens Evening at Hostess Restaurant.
