Shirebrook man to appear in court over 18 driving and theft offences

A Shirebrook man has been remanded to appear at court over 18 driving and theft offences in the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area.

Lee Shipman, 32, who lives in the Shirebrook area but has no fixed address, has been charged with five offences of driving while disqualified and without insurance in the Glapwell and Shirebrook areas, and 12 offences of stealing petrol from garages and forecourts in Tibshelf, Mansfield, Forest Town, Southwell, Rhodesia, Worksop, Mansfield Woodhouse, Sutton in Ashfield, Ollerton and Warsop.

He has also been charged with stealing the number plates from a car which was parked in a car park of Doe Hill Lane on Monday, November 19.

Mr Shipman is due to appear at Derby Crown Court later this month.
