Sheffield man charged with fraud after allegedly stealing money from Derbyshire charity
A man has been charged with fraud after an alleged theft of money from a Derbyshire charity.
Paul Cooper, of Blenheim Mews, Sheffield, was arrested at Matlock Citizens’ Advice Bureau on September 11 last year.
The 55-year-old was investigated for allegedly stealing a “substantial amount” of money from the bureau, a spokesman for Derbyshire police said.
He was released on police bail pending further investigations.
He was charged with fraud by abuse of position on Thursday and is due to appear at Chesterfield magistrates’ court in May.
