Share your stories at our weekly reporter surgery

Mercury readers are being encouraged to share story ideas at a weekly reporter surgery in Matlock.

From April 5, reporter Daniel Hobson will be based at the Citizens’ Advice Bureau, Steep Turnpike, in Matlock, every Friday between 9.30am and 1.30pm.

The surgery will be an opportunity for readers, residents and local businesses to share concerns, triumphs, new projects, story ideas, and much more with the paper.

“We ran a series of surgeries last year and they were an excellent way to keep in contact with our readership and find some excellent stories,” said Dan.

“But if you’re in the area, feel free to pop in and say hello anyway as we received some excellent ideas for the sort of content people wanted in the paper too.”

As well as the surgeries, people can drop off letters and Memory Lane items at the Mercury postbox inside Bridge News, in Crown Square, Matlock.

Readers can comment on stories by visiting www.matlockmercury.co.uk or texting MAM (space) COMMENT (space) and their comment to 61500 – texts cost 25p plus the standard network rate.
