Seven-year-old Ella Jade Clifton, of Dale Bank Crescent, New Whittington, came up with the idea all by herself after she decided she wanted to do something for charity.

The New Whittington Primary School pupil put out an appeal and received a total of 117 chocolate eggs over a four-week period, including from her fellow classmates.

The sweet treats were then taken to those most in need such as the elderly, the homeless and children in care.

Ella’s mum, Sharon, said: “I am really proud of her - she has been amazing.”
