Police were alerted to the incident where a man had pulled up outside a property on Wash Green, Wirksworth, and loaded metal items into his van that were left on the residents drive.

During investigations, officers also found that the man failed to produce the correct documentation of a collectors licence.

The issue was resolved by means of restorative justice when the victim decided that they were happy to accept a full apology from the offender.
