Scouts get funding boost for outdoor project
A scout group is celebrating after receiving £1,000 in funding.
The 3rd Matlock (Christ Church) Lea and Holloway Scouts received the cash from Enterprise Holdings to go towards its grounds expansion project.
The group is celebrating its 20th anniversary with record numbers of young people in all sections. They plan to put the money towards its project to level the ground at the rear of its existing scout hut in order to create a grassed level area of land to be used for outdoor activities.
