Eight-year-old Elizabeth Orton has every reason for her cheesy smile – she and fellow pupil Benjamin Gratton from Taddington and Priestcliffe Cof E school are to be judges at Bakewell Show.

They will be adjudicators of the Young Consumers Choice class in the cheese section of the event which runs on August 5 and 6.

The pair used their artistic talents to win a poster competition and were presented with goody bags by Jill Gratton, representing the Food and Farming Committee which organises the cheese competitions at the show.

Elizabeth and Benjamin will be helped by a master cheese maker to choose their favourite from a selection of cheeses at the show.
