ANIMAL lovers met a new star attraction at the Chatsworth Estate after the arrival of Rupert the calf who made an appearance just in time for the Easter celebrations.
The half-Belgian, half Fresian calf was born to mother Rosie on April 1 and after finding his feet he has become a crowd-pleaser with children still enjoying their school holidays.
A Chatsworth spokesman said: “Our farmyard and adventure playground is showing off its latest attractions over the holidays and Rupert is one of a host of animals and activities.”
Youngsters have also been enjoying egg hunts, shire horse and dray rides, a new climbing forest, trails and crafts.
And visitors have been marvelling at developments at Chatsworth House as part of the latest phase of a £14m Masterplan project.
