Actor, author and BAFTA award-winning investigative journalist Ross Kemp will officially launch Chesterfield's Go Outdoors later this month.
Mr Kemp will cut the ceremonial ribbon, officially marking the new store open for business, on Saturday, March 24.
He will be onsite from 9am to welcome the Chesterfield community into the store, sign autographs and answer questions during a Q&A session.
Mr Kemp said: "I am honoured to be part of the exciting opening of the Chesterfield Go Outdoors store and I look forward to meeting the community.
"For me, encouraging the public to get outdoors is really important.
"There is a big world out there with endless adventures to be had - a little encouragement and the right kit is all you need to explore.
"Go Outdoors has equipped me on many of my own adventures, of which I'll share some stories at the launch."
On the day, there will be a number of family-fun events on offer, including face painting, balloon modelling and a caving experience.
The first 200 families through the doors on the Saturday will receive a complimentary £20 gift voucher to spend in the store on the day and everyone is eligible for a 15 per cent off discount throughout the Saturday and the Sunday. In addition, shoppers will receive a free Go Outdoors discount card, usually £5. The Go Outdoors discount card gives savings across the store on a range of products and brands including Freedom Trail, Regatta and Berghaus.
