Roof collapses under snow

The glass building on The Common buckled under the pressure of the snowfall and the crews from Crich were called at around 2.37pm on Thursday.

They were there for almost two hours cleaning up the damage. Nobody had been in the house when the roof collapsed.

Meanwhile, most roads have now reopened following yesterday’s snow fall which had left many impassable.

Only the A57 Snake Pass in High Peak is currently closed in both directions between Ladybower reservoir and Royal Oak Inn, Glossop.
