Robbery victim beaten with walking stick

A MAN was hit with his own walking stick in a robbery.

The 59-year-old was beaten on the legs after two men called at his home on Cauldon Drive, Chesterfield, between 10 –10.30pm on Sunday June 5.

He allowed two men to visit him after they said they were selling tobacco. While in the flat they assaulted him and stole cash.

The men are described as white and about five ft 10 in tall. One was of average build, in his early 20s, with short black hair and a fringe. He looked scruffy and wore a jacket and jeans.

The second man was of bigger than average build with long brown hair. He was also scruffy and wore a grey bomber jacket.
