Road reopens after crash near Chesterfield Royal Hospital

The A632 Chesterfield Road near Chesterfield Royal Hospital has reopened after a crash this morning.

Firefighters from Chesterfield and Staveley, police and paramedics were called to the smash at about 10.15am.

The collision involved a Skoda Octavia and a Vauxhall Astra.

The male driver of the Skoda was freed from his car by firefighters and taken to hospital for treatment for injuries.

The collision caused widespread congestion in the area.
