ROAD CLOSURES: All you need to know about Chesterfield Half Marathon

The 13.1-mile event – which will raise money for charities including Chesterfield-based Kids ‘n’ Cancer – will start from Queen’s Park at 9am.

• Boythorpe Avenue (east side between Boythorpe Road and Park Road)

A spokesman for Derbyshire County Council, which is responsible for enforcing road closures, said: “Diversions will be clearly signposted and stewards will be on hand along the course to advise of alternative routes.

“The roads will reopen and the restrictions lifted as soon as possible – this may be earlier than the times advertised.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused while the event takes place.
