RIPLEY: Free rail centre weekend for disabled people

Rotary Club Ripley is to host the annual free Disabled Weekend at the Midland Railway Butterley on Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30.

The two-day event is free for disabled people and half price admission for their carers at £5.50, with train rides, railway museum, shops, model railway (Golden Valley Light Railway, small charge), west shed experience plus many more attractions. Refreshments are available at a small charge.

Rotarians will be available to assist and help make the day as enjoyable as possible; there is a special adapted carriage for wheelchair access.

Groups, clubs and all members of the public are welcome.

First train leaves Butterley at 11am both days.
