REVEALED: The best secondary schools in the Chesterfield area
The institutions must ensure that at least 40 per cent of their pupils gained at least five C grades at GCSE in 2015.
From next year, all schools will be measured that way.
And according to new league tables published by the Department for Education, all but two of Derbyshire secondary schools managed to beat the target.

5. Brookfield Academy Trust got 62 per cent of pupils to get at least 5 A*-C grades.
4. Newbold Community School (now Outwood Academy Newbold) managed to get 62 per cent of students the good grades.

Hide Ad3. Parkside Community School also got 62 per cent of students to meet the target.
2. Netherthorpe School beat the benchmark by getting these grades from 68 per cent of pupils.
1. St Mary’s Catholic High School, A Catholic Voluntary Academy, is the top performing school in Chesterfield, with 79 per cent of pupils achieving these grades.
The national average for 2015 across all schools in England was 53.8 per cent.
