Residents are being urged to invest in a community wind farm project.

The Four Winds Energy Co-op needs the community’s help to raise £3.7million by the end of July to build two 500KW turbines in Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.

Contributors will benefit from a return on investment at the same time as saving on emissions thanks to the turbines.

Paul Rea, chairman of the Four Winds Energy Co-op explained: “From as little as £100, ordinary investors can see returns which outstrip anything a high street bank or building society can offer.”
