Rescue teams join up to find missing man
Rescuers combed the High Peak in search of a missing man last week.
The Buxton Mountain Rescue Team joined forces with Kinder Mountain Rescue on Thursday, March 28, to look for the 53–year–old man.
The search began in New Mills, it then extended to Sett Valley Trail, Hayfield, Lantern Pike and the plateau and lower slopes of Kinder Scout, working in shifts throughout the 14–hour operation in snowy conditions. They located the man in the William Clough area of Kinder Scout. He was found to be well and escorted back to Hayfield.
