A homeowner is spending Christmas without their beloved puppy after she was stolen.
A burglar smashed a rear window of a house in Town Street, Pinxton, and took the 19-week-old Cocker Spaniel bitch.
They also took an antique sword and a Royal Crown Derby dinner set in the Imari design, including a tea pot, sugar bowl and milk jug.
A gold wedding ring, a Nikon digital camera, men’s watches, horse tack and binoculars were also stolen.
The homeowner returned to find the house ransacked and Christmas gifts unwrapped, police said.
The crime happened sometime between 2pm and 5pm on Friday, December 11.
Anyone with information or anyone who has been offered the items for sale should call police on 101.
