Pupils get tablet computers

A handful of pupils at Highfields School have been selected for a futuristic new trial.

With the increased use of technology in lessons, some lucky first year students have been given their very own tablet computers to start their secondary school career.

The school intends to issue more tablets if this trial phase is successful.

Damian O’Reilly, assistant head teacher at Highfields School, said: “This is a very exciting development for the school which presents all sorts of opportunities for enhancing learning.”
