YOUNGSTERS enjoyed a taste of another culture when they visited a Polish school.

Dunston Primary and Nursery School organised the educational trip as part of a British Council scheme.

Pupils visited a school in Katowice where they learned about Polish cultures and the native language.

Upon their return to Chesterfield, the youngsters put together an interesting exhibition about the visit.

Paul Burgess, acting headteacher at Dunston Primary and Nursery School, said: “This project provided an amazing opportunity to showcase the teaching and diversity of our European neighbours.”

Simon Williams, of the British Council, added: “We have a responsibility to prepare young people for life and work in a global society.”
