Pupils boost Water Aid

PUPILS at Lady Manners School are celebrating after raising an impressive £757 for charity.

All 240 students in year 10 worked together to devise an array of money making ideas including an all-day ‘danceathon’, a staff car-washing service, a fun run, basketball competion and a sponsored staff leg waxing event.

Pupils selected the charity Water Aid from a shortlist of eight by a large margin.

David Fox, head of year 10 at Lady Manners School, said: “The students have done a brilliant job and we are delighted to donate to this worthy cause.”
