Derbyshire Police have released images of a woman they would like to speak to after a tablet computer was stolen from the counter of a shop in Chesterfield.

A man placed his Samsung Galaxy tablet, which had been in its original box, on the counter while he paid for goods at the Discount Booze and Sweets store on Packers Row at around 9.15am on Saturday, April 29.

He had forgotten to pick it up and realised it was missing, but the tablet is believed to have been picked up and stolen very shortly afterwards.

Officers believe the woman, with long dark hair who is pictured on the CCTV image, may be able to help with enquiries.

She is described as being white, with dark hair which had been in a ponytail, and was wearing a dark coat.

Do you recognise the woman in the image? If so, please contact PC Matt Rodda by calling 101, quoting reference 17*177745.
