Police in Scotland find car stolen in Bolsover

Police in Scotland have recovered a car stolen from a house in Bolsover and arrested the driver.

Officers stopped the car, which was allegedly speeding along the A74 at Eaglesfield at around 6.20pm yesterday (Tuesday, April 5).

They pulled the Ford Ranger over and, believing it was displaying false plates, began investigating its origin.

They found it had been stolen from a house in Horsehead Lane, Bolsover, overnight between March 30 and 31.

The thief broke into the house, took a TV and cash before stealing the car from the driveway.

A 35-year-old man from Leeds has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and transported to custody in Chesterfield, where he remains.
