Derbyshire Police were called to Nether Langwith and Shirebrook today (Friday, March 9) with concerns for the safety of a man.

The disturbance which was near a school on Langwith Road, Shirebrook has now been resolved.

The school, which has not been named, were informed at the time of the police presence.

No-one was injured and a police officer is still at the scene on Langwith Road.

A police spokeswoman said: "We responded to Dale Close at 9,10 today, with concerns for the saftey of a man who was near a school, no one was injured."

One resident said he saw an helicopter and an ambulance on Langwith Road.
