Police pursuit pair swam canal in desperate escape bid
A 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man who tried to escape from police by swimming away in a canal after being pursued from Chesterfield to Worksop have been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
Derbyshire police officers started following a car at 2.10am this morning after it was seen allegedly speeding and driving dangerously.
Nottinghamshire Police then used dogs to help track the pair down before they were arrested at an address.
Both are now in police custody in Derbyshire.
