Police patrols boosted after anti–social behaviour

The team were told about a number of incidents that took place in Hathersage and Bradwell.

Overnight between Thursday, October 17 and Friday 18, bins, umbrellas and seats that were left outside Pool Café, in Oddfellows Road, Hathersage, were dragged away and thrown over a fence into a tennis court.

Other anti-social behaviour problems were reported in Church Street and Netherside, Bradwell, late at night on Friday, October 18.

In one incident, a floral memorial that was placed near the roadside was damaged.

PCSO Anthony Boswell, from Hathersage Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “These incidents seem to be random acts of anti-social behaviour but they have caused a lot of distress to the victims.

“We are carrying out extra patrols over the next few weeks and will be on the lookout for anyone taking part in unacceptable behaviour like this.

“With the darker nights and Halloween approaching, it’s important that parents know where their children are and what they are up to.”
