Police called after girl gets stuck in hole in Shuttlewood

A seven-year-old girl fell down a 20 foot hole while playing in a field in Shuttlewood.

The girl, from the area, became stuck down the hole in fields on Bentick Road at around 7.40pm last night (June 30).

Fire crews from Staveley were called to free her, and police were called to speak with the landowner who said he will fill in the hole as it is a danger to the public.

The girl was left with cuts and bruises.
