Police appeal over racist shouting

Police are appealling for witnesses following a racist incident in Chesterfield.

On Thursday, November 28 a woman was sat on the number 39 bus from Chesterfield town centre listening to music on her headphones when she heard a man shouting racist abuse to a black man on the bus.

The woman intervened and the man then racially abused her as well.

The man was described as white in his mid 30s with short black hair. He was wearing jeans, a grey jumper with a black t-shirt underneath and black trainers.
