Police appeal after criminal damage in Matlock

Police are appealing for information following incidents of criminal damage in Matlock.

At round 5pm on Friday, June 27, offenders attempted to force open the door of a vending machine on Smedley Street in Matlock. It is believed that the offenders were disturbed and fled the scene. No entry was gained.

Between 3pm and 4pm on Saturday, June 21, offenders threw what is thought to be stones at a property on Back Lane in Elton, and damage was caused to the outer pane of a rear window.

Police are actively encouraging residents to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity on 101.
