Pet rabbits stolen in Ripley

Officers are appealing for information after two pet rabbits are believed to have been stolen from a garden in Ripley.

Offenders gained entry to the back garden of a house on Ash Crescent sometime between 1am and 9am on Sunday, May 3, causing damage to a rabbit hutch.

Two lionhead rabbits are now missing and are believed to have been stolen. One is described as dark brown in colour and the other has a sandy shade.

PC Richard Marshall from the Ripley Town Centre Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “I am urging anyone who may have details about this incident to get in touch so the family can hopefully be reunited with their pets.

“In the wake of this incident, I would encourage residents to consider stepping up home and garden security including installing fences, CCTV monitoring or alarms in a bid to deter this type of crime in the future.”
