A person was hit by a train near Clay Cross morning.

East Midlands Train said the incident, which happened just after 6am, had caused disruption on the Liverpool Lime Street / Nottingham / Norwich route and the Leeds to London St Pancras service via Nottingham. Replacement buses were put in place on some services.

Network Rail have now reopened all lines.

Shortly before 8.45am, East Midlands Train tweeted: "Trains on our Liverpool Lime Street / Nottingham / Norwich route are now able to run normally between Chesterfield and Nottingham."
