The Glass Yard - located directly opposite the Proact Stadium on Sheffield Road - will offer a mix of office and retail space as well as an artisan food hall called The Batch House. Photo: Brian Eyre
The Glass Yard said in a recent Facebook post: "We're looking for high-quality vendors to operate out of our bespoke food hall and eatery: The Batch House. In fact, we're so keen to have the best, artisanal vendors operating in our establishment that we're offering financial help to get the most unique businesses started with us. If you offer unique, artisanal and high quality produce - we want to hear from you." Photo: Brian Eyre
Nearby, work is continuing to improve the look of the Elder Way area as part of the £3.25million Revitalising the Heart of Chesterfield scheme. This work – which is expected to be finished by the summer – promises to 'create a more inviting pedestrian route from the Northern Gateway development to the retail centre of the town', according to Chesterfield Borough Council.
