Sharon and Sky Morrell are making collections for their ‘Hug In a Mug’ initiative – which sees staff at the Royal given cups contatining treats.

Sharon, of Hollingwood, said: “We're looking for donations of mugs, hot drink sachets, treats such as chocolate bars or hand cream, and some kind words of support, a little note or a child's drawing or picture.

“We will need quite a few – so the more people who can support us with this, the more we can gift.

“We feel that by donating something individually to the staff, we can show our appreciation and thanks in a personal way.
