Tristan Gell was using his bike in his Just Eat and Deliveroo jobs when it was taken in the Newbold area shortly before 8am on September 12.

The theft means he is now out of work – but nearly £250 has been raised on this GoFundMe page to help Tristan buy a new bike.

Talking about the theft, he said: “I went into the Highfield Road One Stop shop to get myself a drink of water and I couldn’t lock my bike up as cars were parked where the stands were so I had to risk it for two minutes.

“I wouldn’t have thought on a Sunday morning that people would be thinking of taking a bike.

“I came out of the shop and the suspect had fled with my bike.

“He was caught on CCTV and Derbyshire police are looking into it.”
