Chesterfield Guides honoured for their dedication

Two Chesterfield youngsters have won special recognition after being honoured with the Derbyshire Spirit of Guiding award

They were presented with their awards at a virtual on-line ceremony, organised by the county’s Girlguiding organisation

Tess Bramley, a Young Leader from the 1st Brampton Moor Guides group, was praised for her dedication to fundraising and using her performance skills to encourage less-confident girls to take part in activities. She was descibed as ‘an inspiration to all who meet her’.

Emily, of the 2nd Loundsley Green Guides won praise for making and selling poppies for the Royal British Legion for over two years.

Originally knitting poppies for the display at Chesterfield Town Hall, Emily has devoted a huge amount of time and effort into making and selling poppies for this great cause.
