Jacob Fidler, from Bolsover, completed the feat on Saturday after becoming inspired by the fitness coach’s regular workout routines.

And as well as planning and starring in the workout video which was live-streamed to his friends on the internet, on the same day he also completed a 5km run and 27km bike ride.

Jacob’s dad, Danny, aged 39, said seeing homeless people had always made his son feel sad, so he wanted to try and help.

He said: “It is some feat for a little man and he always goes at it all guns blazing. He is like the Duracell bunny!

“He’s been doing a Joe Wicks style daily live workout to all of his school friends throughout the lockdown and then said he wanted to do it for a charity.

“He thought the homeless would be a good cause to fundraise for and he is certainly proud of his achievements, as we all are.”

Jacob’s fundraising total currently stands at £955 which will be donated to the charity Crisis, which helps rough sleepers with housing, employment, education and wellbeing.

On his Just Giving site, Jacob says people who are sleeping rough are more likely to suffer from breathing problems, can’t wash their hands regularly and can find it impossible to self-isolate in crowded night shelters.

Jacob’s live workout went out on Facebook on Saturday and was immediately followed by a 5km run with his mum Maria and then a 27km bike ride to Rother Valley with dad Danny.

Danny said Joe Wicks had been an inspiration to Jacob throughout the lockdown, and that his school, Palterton Primary, is also really encouraging when it comes to sport.

“He is a really sporty kid and gets quite competitive like his dad,” said Danny.

“We said he’d have to take it easy but he has so much energy he just bounces. He loved it!”
