Pedestrian injured after collision with car in Ashover

The 27-year-old man was walking along Matlock Road, close to its junction with Hut Lane, when the crash with the Peugeot 106 happened at about 3.50am on Sunday.

He was taken by ambulance to Northern General Hospital in Sheffield to be treated.

Part of the road was closed for about two hours following the incident.
