Peak firms honoured
Businesses have been recognised for their role in the local economy in the Peak District’s 2012 environmental awards.
In total, 23 enterprises were winners, including Sidecar Safaris in Tideswell, which offers chauffeured trips around the countryside in a classic motorycle sidecar, as well as The Yorkshire Bridge, in Bamford, and Losehill House Hotel in Hope.
Among the winners in food and farming awards were High Rakes Farm in Monyash and Gourmet Express in Grindleford.
Two special awards were also presented to Matlock Meadows Ice Cream as the outstanding newcomer, and to Robert and Sarah Helliwell, of Upper Booth Farm, Edale.
