Peak District: Y Not app for bands

Y Not Festival has launched a bands app that allows performers to upload their tracks into the internet, meaning festival–goers can listen to their music in advance and request the acts they want to see.

Bands can visit www.facebook.com/ynotfestival/app_475209442537930 and upload their tracks in Soundcloud or YouTube format.

Festival organiser, Ralph Broadbent, said: “This is a completely new way for bands to broadcast their music on a fair and open platform, but please note submitting does unfortunately not guarantee a slot.”

Y Not this year runs from Friday, August 2, until Sunday, August 4.

Tickets go on sale at 7pm February 4.
