Campaigners who are hoping to relaunch the Chesterfield Music Festival are appealing for the event's past winners to come forward so they can be honoured with a reunion concert.
Organiser Julia Tew is hoping to revive the festival, which used to be held at The Winding Wheel, in the town, but was cancelled in May 2006, and she has begun fund-raising to get the show back on the road.
Mrs Tew said: "We'd like to hear from past winners dating back to the festival's launch in 1983 so we can bring them all back together for a concert as part of the relaunch."
Past winners who may have been crowned during the festival's last concert are also urged to return their trophies for future successful competitors.
Campaigners aim to raise about 3,500 to relaunch the festival in April 2010 with brass, wind, piano and pop and have raised hundreds of pounds thanks to tribute boy-band Boyzaloud who performed at The Winding Wheel.
Those who can return trophies, wish to take part in the festival winners' reunion or anyone wanting to fund-raise is urged to call Mrs Tew on (01246) 418887.
