Letter: Let's make sure that our town can benefit from better connectivity

The land train connection for the town centre/Town Hall/Ravenside is to be looked at by Neil Johnson at the borough council. He is to report on it by the year’s end.

However, with the council’s financial difficulties I am not entirely optimistic, so I will be ready to use the legal angle of access for PRM - Persons of Reduced Mobility - as laid out in the Equality Acts and Human Rights legislation.

So, Chesterfield residents and council tax payers, should the scheme be refused, then please be ready to let the council know your feelings and let's have better connectivity in our town, for the sake of our town and ourselves, especially as we are getting older!
