Little wonder that that the Labour Chancellor found a £20,000,000,000 black hole in her budget as she chucks pay rises around striking, public-serving groups, like confetti at a wedding.

With more planned for 2025, it looks remarkably like adopted austerity rather than financial prudence.

Oh! I forgot, that was Gordon Brown, wasn't it?
