Letter: Is this really the way we want our country to go?

Grey belt land is totally undefined and may well lead to much more green belt being developed using that definition. I also believe in democratic process and will always oppose mandatory decisions made by local councils without any local democracy. Then there's huge damage to local environment, which is hypocritical coming from a government claiming to oppose climate change.
With current rates of immigration, a new house will need to be built every two minutes, just to catch up, then there's total lack of GP and medical services, schools etc. All these ìssues without doubt will impede on existing residents’ quality of life, at times when struggles are immense already Is this really the way we want our country to go?
