I have a new book, released last week, and it comes with an inspiring back story.

When I first wrote my humorous account of the initial Covid-19 lockdown, a wonderful lady named Anne Cooper reached out to me. At the time, she was struggling with the effects of the virus, which had turned her from an energetic person into someone dealing with severe health challenges. Even now, she continues to suffer from long Covid and is mostly housebound.

My writing began as a series of Facebook posts, and Anne contacted me to share how much they made her laugh and lifted her spirits during difficult times. Her messages meant so much to me and her encouragement inspired me to compile the posts into a book, which I initially self-published with surprising success.

Since then, I’ve gone on to write more books and was eventually picked up by a publisher. But I’ve never forgotten Anne and the impact her words had on my journey as an author. Without Anne's kind words, I may never have written another book. To express my gratitude, I spoke to my publisher, and we decided to re-release my first book, this time dedicated to Anne Cooper. I also invited her to write the book’s introduction.

The book is now released, and Anne, who lives in Pinxton, is the true star of the story. Because of the encouragement of a lovely lady I have never met, I continued my writing career. Now, my books are permanently on the best seller lists worldwide. Thank you Anne.
