Letter: Can you help with family history?
I have recently started trying to trace my family history, starting with my father’s side with the surname Rooth.
I have very limited information. However there is a suggestion that, although my father and his immediate family lived in South East London, the family may have at some point been living in Notts/Derbyshire.
My father was contacted in the early 1980s by a solicitor regarding a will linked to family in this area. However it was never followed up.
I am interested to hear if the surname Rooth means anything to anyone in the area.
I am now living in Australia. However my family are still in the UK, living in Kent. If anyone is able to shed light, my email address is [email protected]
I am looking into my family history as my father never really knew too much about his family history .
