LETTER: Town has been badly run for years
I am concerned that the present situation has arisen because of the '˜need to know' practices at Chesterfield Borough Council. In my view the town has been badly run and managed by successive councils for years and this situation is the direct consequence of this.
It should not have been down to the last leader of Derbyshire County Council to reveal that council tax money from certain projects would not be coming to Derbyshire County Council. The town has been drawn towards Sheffield by stealth.
