LETTER: Thanks for support against bed closures

Matlock Hospitals League of Friends would like to thank everyone who has supported our campaign against the plan to close all the beds at Whitworth Hospital.

We are particularly grateful to all who marched in protest on Saturday September 24 and were present for the handover of the 8,000-plus signature petition.

We are told that the Clinical Commissioning Group has received many consultation responses but there is still time remaining to make your views known.

Every reply counts and we encourage everyone to reply with their thoughts about the proposed location of rehabilitation beds from Whitworth Hospital to Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

Consultation documents are still available at the hospital, at Robert Young Florists, Crown Square, Matlock and can also be completed online at www.joinedupcare.org.uk before 5th October.
