LETTER: I don't mind registering to park

I have to say I have a lot of sympathy for the owners. Many selfish people park for free, often for long periods of time instead of using the pay and display car park which is only a matter of feet away.

If the car park is full then this may well represent a significant loss of earnings for the pub as people will drive on to somewhere where they can park.

We visited the pub recently for a meal and managed to find a parking space at the pub. The signs were very clear and it was not difficult to go to the bar and register our number plate with them.

I would visit again as it was a lovely meal.
